Da Vincenzo Positano - Authentic Italian Dining with Stunning Views in Positano

Exceptional dining experience at Da Vincenzo! Every dish was beautifully presented and the flavors were outstanding - truly top-level cuisine. The service was equally impressive, attentive without being intrusive. As someone who invests in premium restaurants, I can appreciate the attention to detail that goes into creating this level of consistency. No wonder reservations need to be made several days in advance - this is exactly the kind of quality that builds lasting success. Great restaurant, good ambience. Street side dining with a wine cave room dining. Either is great. The food is good and consistent. We went in 2019 and again in 2025. Still amazing food. Reasonable local wine list. Staff is friendly. Recommend to book in advance but if you don't mind waiting they are happy to accommodate walk-in as well.

We showed up without a reservation and waited about 30 minutes on a Saturday, so grateful to have been seated, as there was a long line — absolutely worth it! The hostess, Ana, was so gracious and kind, and our server, Rafaele, was incredible — warm, attentive, and full of great wine recommendations. Marta also helped during our meal and was just lovely. Every dish was perfection — the zucchini flowers and pumpkin soup were outstanding, and the rigatoni with braised beef was easily the best pasta we’ve had so far in Italy. Beautiful views, an inviting atmosphere, and truly exceptional service. Hands down our best meal and best service in Positano — Da Vincenzo absolutely lives up to its reputation.

First, let me say that the hostess was so kind to us. We walked in without a reservation, 30 minutes before they closed, but she still arranged a table for us, which we greatly appreciated. The food and presentation of the food was simply amazing. Every bite of every dish was exceptional. Also, the dessert was so good, light, but rich at the same time.

I’m a bit of a food snob, and this was hands down the best meal of our 11-day trip through southern Italy. We were constantly searching for great food, and this place absolutely delivered. We had the pumpkin soup, Genovese pasta, and sirloin steak. Every dish was perfectly seasoned and bursting with flavor. The tomatoes tasted like they’d just been picked from the garden. Service was kind, attentive, and well timed. The beautiful view and lovely girlfriend made it unforgettable. Not cheap, but neither is the quality of the food, atmosphere, or location. Excellent value and truly a highlight of our trip!

We actually had a wonderful time here. From the service to the food, it was great. You can skip the mini calzone things, they were fine but nothing special. The zucchini pasta was one of the best dishes I had this whole trip. The profiteroles were delicious. Service was great!

Easily our meal in the whole of the Amalfi Coast, only wish we had come here sooner as would have come every day if we could. Had some of the dishes that have been on the menu for 30 years and easy to see why they have been on here for so long. Our waiter was excellent, with great recommendations, wine matching etc. we also had entrees and desserts (paired with dessert wine recommendation) that were stunning. Definitely pays to book, there is always a long queue here otherwise. Best Italian restaurant I’ve ever been to.
